The Los Angeles Chargers are seeking an experienced, high-performing finance professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting in the budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis processes for the Los Angeles Chargers. This is a full-time onsite position based in El Segundo.
Responsibilities
- This role will report directly to the FP&A Manager and work on building/enhancing FP&A processes and models.
- The Senior Financial Analyst will also work closely with accounting team members in preparing and presenting the Company's internal and external financial reports, including National Football League reporting requirements.
- Additionally, this individual will assist in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- The selected candidate will work cross-functionally with department heads throughout the organization on their budgets and variance analysis including ad hoc requests and questions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting
- Mid-sized ($250M revenue) or complex early-stage company experience
- Big 4 accounting experience / CPA preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must
- Strong understanding of financial/accounting principles and concepts, including financial reporting, modeling, and budgeting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical acumen in financial analysis and reporting, ensuring that insights and conclusions are based on reliable data and thorough analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to maintain confidential information of the utmost importance
- Experience with NetSuite and Vena Solutions desirable
- Prior sports, entertainment, live events or related experience preferred
