Please Read Before Applying – Strict Requirements:Minimum 2 years of recent experience working as a legal assistant or legal secretary on the APPLICANT side of California workers’ compensation casesBilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish (both spoken and written) – must be able to read, write, and communicate professionally in SpanishNo exceptions – Applicants without applicant-side workers’ compensation experience will not be considered ✅ Required Qualifications:Hands-on experience handling California workers’ compensation cases from the applicant sideStrong knowledge of WCAB procedures, including EAMS, DORs, subpoenas, lien negotiation, and medical recordsFamiliarity with case management systems and calendaring deadlinesStrong communication and writing skills in both English and SpanishProfessional demeanor and excellent client service skillsDetail-oriented, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentKey Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys handling applicant-side workers’ compensation claimsDraft and file pleadings and documents through EAMSMaintain and organize case files and track critical deadlinesDraft correspondence in English and SpanishCommunicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and defense counselConduct intake calls and interviews with prospective clients in both English and SpanishSchedule depositions, hearings, and medical appointments
