What You Will Do
Join us in the Information and Technology Organization! We are seeking energetic undergraduate students to support the information and technology environment within the Laboratory. The organization provides direct support within operations of the lab to unclassified and classified mission support needs, as well as technical service to the configuration management services for LANL computing environments.
We have exciting opportunities in Project Management, Networking, Telecommunications, Software Development, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, IT Customer Service, and other related IT roles. We're seeking passionate individuals ready to make an impact in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
For full consideration, candidates must be pursuing one of the following degrees (or equivalent): Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, System Administration, or Information Engineering Technology. All candidates must have and maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale for consideration and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.

No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. - Knowledge of, or courses taken in Windows, Mac OS X desktop administration, or Linux
- Knowledge of, or courses taken in solving software and hardware issues
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering exceptional customer service
- Knowledge and/or experience within data analytics
- Knowledge of and /or experience administrating Linux, Windows, or Mac systems
- Knowledge of and/or experience with hardware or software applications
- Knowledge of and/ or experience within Cyber Security
- PMP or related Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, PSPO, or similar)
