Part-time postion working 20-25 hours per week
Los Alamos JJAB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to oversee key youth-focused programs, including Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), Seven Challenges, and One Circle (OC). This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality program delivery, maintaining fidelity to evidence-based models, and supporting and supervising program staff.
The Program Manager will work collaboratively with JJAB leadership, community partners, and staff to strengthen program impact and ensure youth and families receive effective, responsive support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES AND JOB DUTIES
Staff Support
- Oversee day-to-day supervision of the YMHFA, Seven Challenges and OC programs, as well as staff related to the program.
- Provide ongoing feedback and insight to the Executive Director regarding staff performance, need for disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. Assist in planning and facilitating weekly staff meetings for the JJAB team to confer on strategy, engage in professional development, boost morale, and coordinate programs.
- Organize and conduct individual and group staffings as needed.
- Maintain consistency, ensuring that procedures are being followed, procedures are updated as needed, and regular audits of electronic case files are conducted.
- Act as the go-to person for the identified programs, offering expertise in youth eligibility, service plans, client conflicts, and processes.
- Work with staff to ensure resources are being shared amongst the team, the team has access to resources, and that JJAB’s case management software is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assign projects/coordination to staff as required for special projects such as school supplies, holiday meals and gifts, etc.
- Verify and approve staff weekly timesheets and reporting, in conjunction with the Executive Director.
- Collaborate as part of the senior management team to ensure staff, programs, and processes are functioning at a high level.
- Perform general office duties as required, such as ordering supplies for staff, assisting in organizing staff recognition and team building events, and maintaining office equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Community Contact
- Build relationships with key players, such as school personnel and community resources, to build a team environment that promotes seamless service provision to youth and their families.
- Coordinate with students, teachers, counselors, nurses, administrators, and other stakeholders to identify at-risk youth and their families.
- Assist in promoting programs within the community through targeted outreach to encourage participation and referrals.
Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Within 6 months of hire, obtain and maintain certification as a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor and use curriculum that empowers adults to assist youth in crisis to provide at least 3 courses per year.
- Collaborate with Executive Director on planning and logistics for YMHFA courses in the Los Alamos community.
- Ensure that materials and supplies are prepared prior to each session.
- Ensure fidelity to evidence base by using approved program evaluation tools.
- Hire additional YMHFA instructors as needed to meet demand for the program.
- Other duties as assigned.
One Circle Coordinator
- Promote the program and groups to the schools, community providers, parents, and youth to receive referrals and ensure the minimum level of participants.
- Build relationships with key players, such as school personnel and community providers, to build a team environment to create a supportive environment for the youth
- Oversee all facilitators, ensuring that all sessions are being held, appropriate curriculum is covered, compliance with reporting and attendance sheets, and the groups are progressing with the curriculum in a manner that will assist the youth in developing skills and resiliency.
- Review and approve facilitator timesheets and invoices, forwarding all items to the JJAB Bookkeeper for processing.
- Track service completion and outcomes and provide required monthly reporting for each youth.
- Maintain group and program files and record keeping providing confidentiality for youth
- Provide education in the community to raise awareness of the JJAB and the One Circle program
- Attend local meetings and present to community organizations as requested
- Attend JJAB meetings and provide presentations and updates as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Seven Challenges
- Recruit and oversee all facilitators, ensuring that all sessions are being held, appropriate curriculum is covered, compliance with reporting and attendance sheets, and the groups are progressing with the curriculum in a manner that will assist the youth in developing skills and resiliency.
- Work with Seven Challenges Foundation, including quarterly support calls and yearly fidelity checks.
- Complete Seven Challenges Leader Training and Brief Challenges Training within one year of hire.
- Ensure fidelity to evidence base by using approved program evaluation tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and experience in Social Work, Case Management and/or a related field
- Requires bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, or equivalent professional experience, master’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of supervision experience or work related to leading a team
- Experience working with youth and families
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with clients, family members and professionals
- Organizational and record keeping skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with vulnerable/underserved populations
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous experience working within a case management software, a plus.
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentially
- Ability to pass multiple background checks

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
