Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Technology Engineer (Operations) to manage and support enterprise monitoring and observability platforms in a hybrid infrastructure environment. This role focuses on ensuring platform reliability, improving monitoring signal quality, and supporting incident response workflows across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership
- Manage and maintain monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds (including Net Path)
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, and day-to-day support
- Ensure onboarding of new devices and sites into monitoring systems
Systems Administration
- Provide hands-on support for Linux and Windows servers
- Perform agent deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting (SolarWinds, Datadog, Dynatrace)
- Configure OS-level settings and enable monitoring/logging
- Support hybrid environments (on-prem Azure)
Observability & Event Management
- Support tools like Datadog and Dynatrace for monitoring and alerting
- Improve alert quality, reduce noise, and optimize incident workflows
- Collaborate with teams on integrations and data quality
Cloud Monitoring & Azure
- Support Azure-based monitoring and logging solutions
- Work with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Ensure visibility for cloud-hosted workloads
SIEM & Security (Nice to Have)
- Support log ingestion and integrations with Azure Sentinel / CRIBL
- Collaborate with security teams for incident response and telemetry
Automation & DevOps:
- Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Work in GitHub-based Dev workflows (CI/CD, pull requests, code reviews)
Operational Excellence
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and continuous improvements
- Participate in knowledge transfer and on-call rotations
Required Skills:
- 4–5 years of experience in infrastructure operations / monitoring / SRE / platform operations
- Strong experience with SolarWinds, Datadog, or Dynatrace
- Hands-on Linux and Windows system administration
- Solid understanding of network monitoring (SNMP, LAN/WAN, telemetry)
- Experience with Azure cloud and monitoring tools
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with GitHub and DevOps workflows
- Knowledge of incident/event management processes
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Sentinel, CRIBL (SIEM tools)
- Familiarity with StruxureWare
- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
- Exposure to AI-driven monitoring / observability enhancements
