Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in legacy modernization and hands-on development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming existing mainframe systems into modern architectures while supporting ongoing development and production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills:
- 8 years of experience in Mainframe technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2
- Experience in application development, maintenance, and support
- Knowledge of legacy modernization approaches
- Experience in P&C Insurance domain
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing mainframe systems (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2) and identify modernization opportunities
- Define and implement modernization strategies (replatforming, refactoring, rehosting, rearchitecting)
- Design architecture, create roadmaps, and support system integration
- Perform development, maintenance, and production support including batch processing
- Enable CI/CD and DevOps practices for mainframe applications
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint activities
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams
