The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and preparing production schedules for animal nutrition diets by drawing up a master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Duties include reviewing and distributing production work and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
High school diploma/GED required. BS degree in Business Administration/Animal Science and Management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other related software. 2-5 years’ experience as a Planning and Production Manager. Background in animal nutrition or in a feed industry is preferred. Ability to work independently, communication effectively, and work in team environment.
