Filling Operator

Lornamead is currently seeking a Filling Operator to join our team! 

Lornamead, Inc. manufactures and supplies, hair care, skin care, oral care, and bath products in America.  The company offers toothpastes, teeth whitening products and oral analgesics for drug chains, and national food retailers. The company is headquartered in  Tonawanda, New York.

Your Challenge: 

• Operate filling & packaging line in a cGMP Manufacturing plant
• Perform & document start-ups, operations, and in-process QA checks
• Record operating parameters, material usage, test results, scrap, and production output
• Verify and reconcile material lots and consumption  
• Perform setups and changeovers on filling machines
• Work directly with maintenance and supervisors to pinpoint problem areas with equipment
• Perform operational adjustments as needed to ensure high quality product
• Perform basic cleaning of production change parts and pumps
• Complete documentation for cleaning for all parts and vessels, managing daily usage and cleaning log book and any other documents needed for the area
• Oversee packaging associates (2-5 people) on assigned line
• Follow all company policies, SOP’s, and GMP’s

Qualifications: 

• 2 years of applicable experience operating filling / packaging equipment in food, pharmaceuticals, or similar industry
• Good mechanical abilities
• Good math skills 
• Good documentation skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience leading a production line team
