The role of a barista extends beyond just making coffee. At Lori’s Recharged, you will provide a trusted place for joy and support when people need it most. You will provide products and services that nurture, inspire, and comfort. As a Barista in our Recharged coffee shops, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and engaging from the heart while creating and serving delicious beverages.
What you will do:
- Provide excellent customer service by practicing GUEST standards (Greet, Understand, Educate, Suggest, and Thank)
- Take guest orders and process payments using the point of sale (POS)
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Prepare food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and utensils
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
What you will need:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for accurate order taking and preparation
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations preferred
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Standing on feet up to eight hours/day
- Repetitive motion including bending, stooping and reaching
- Lifting objects, ice, products, boxes up to 30 lbs
- Working in a small space
