Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote participation during each event
- Provide an activities program tailored to the needs of the residents
- Create and Plan a diverse activities program and calendar (weekly/Monthly)
- Perform assessments and documentation to ascertain physical, cognitive and emotional abilities and determine residents' interests and expectations regarding leisure time
- Attend to administrative concerns
- Collaborate and Consult with staff
- Train, manage, monitor and provide useful resources for assistants
- Purchasing activates supplies and document in budget
- Advertise events so residents and staff can attend/participate
- Compile periodic reports
- Seek vendors for outside entertainment bookings
Requirements
- Activity Director Certification or CTRS
- 2 Years of experience with the elderly population and activities
- Must possess patience, compassion and excellent communication skills and a cheerful disposition
- Committed to fostering well-being and fun
- Willingness to avail yourself for occasional weekend work (Manager on Duty rotation)
- Appropriate training and/or certification is encouraged (certification can be acquired through the company-application will be required)
- Point Click Care experience
