Paralegal

A wonderful, well-established law firm in beautiful North Naples is seeking a Paralegal to provide research and support to the managing partner across a balanced mix of family law, civil litigation, and real estate matters. This direct-hire opportunity is an excellent fit for an experienced Paralegal seeking a change and the opportunity to support attorneys’ business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research to support legal proceedings and attorney decision-making.
• Draft and review legal documents, including subpoenas.
• Schedule depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Manage court calendars, including Magistrate and Judge CJIS calendars.
• Arrange court reporters, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Prepare court filings and maintain filing deadlines.
• E-File and use PACER to access and manage court information.
• Investigate facts to support negotiation of legal disputes.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Record and maintain client information.
• Provide direct administrative and legal support to the managing partner.

Required Qualifications

• Three years of litigation experience.
• Previous experience as a paralegal or in another legal field.
• Experience or education in family law, civil litigation, and/or real estate.
• Typing speed of 65 words per minute.
• Familiarity with legal research and document preparation.
• Proficiency with PACER.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented approach.
• NALA, CLA, and FRP credentials, or graduation from an accredited school.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of paralegal experience.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Experience preparing legal documents.
