A fun and friendly Altoona woman is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist her 4 hours per week while she volunteers at a local daycare/preschool.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide transportation and support while she volunteers at the daycare.
- Offer encouragement and guidance as she helps with young children.
- Assist with daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, and household chores.
- Ensure a safe, supportive environment.
- Promote independence while providing assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
- Must enjoy being around children and supporting community involvement.
- Dependable, patient, and positive attitude.
- Must pass required background checks.
Schedule:
- 4 hours per week (specific day/time to be coordinated with her and the daycare).
- Opportunity to provide backup support if needed.
