Job Summary: As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling products from leading-edge electronic and mechanical manufacturers to potential and existing customers. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers. Your role is crucial in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
- Identify and target potential customers within assigned territories or industries.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and expand market share.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our products.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Technical Expertise:
- Gain an understanding of the technical aspects of the products, including their applications, features, and benefits.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products based on their technical requirements and specifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and analyze market data to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
- Provide feedback to the company on market demands and customer preferences.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management, utilizing company tools.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and product development teams to align strategies and objectives.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the company’s products.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technical products and their applications. Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively.
- Sales Skills: Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information in a clear and engaging manner.
