What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at Loren Bock?
Perform assorted manual labor; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as swather, rake, baler, grain cart, planter, air seeder, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, wheat, sunflowers, corn; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Attend to live farm animals such as cattle by feeding, checking, calving, moving; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread seed, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Speak and understand English.
