Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty
- Provide specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to diversify service offerings
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations to ensure client safety
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Engage clients with excellent communication skills to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services for upselling opportunities
- Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling retail transactions
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in areas such as color theory, store management, and advanced styling techniques
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of current beauty trends and techniques
- Experience in hair styling, coloring, straight razor grooming, and hair extensions is highly preferred
- Proficiency with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
- Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships
- Knowledge of retail math for effective upselling of products such as hair care items, makeup, nail care supplies, and retail accessories
- Ability to perform additional services including eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading as needed
