We’re hiring a sous chef at Lord's, our modern English restaurant in the Greenwich Village.
Focused around English cooking techniques and a farmers market approach to seasonality, Lord’s is a casual, 60-seat restaurant from the Dame team.
We’re a very small team, and as such are only hiring sous chefs with experience. Your input on dish development, operational systems, and service flow will be encouraged and your growth supported -- but this is not a clipboard job, and you'll be expected to cook on the line 5 nights a week. We pride ourselves on our kitchen culture, and there's no room for hotheads, arrogance or one-upmanship - we're a place to make nice food in a calm but busy environment.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys the details of cooking, and can keep up with a busy service. We'll teach you the rest.
We're a rather busy restaurant, and have recently been named Food & Wine's Best New Chef, Eater's Restaurant of the Year, as well as being nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York State. We're looking to improve our refinement and push on to make Lord's one of the top places to eat in NYC. We're also in the expansion phase as a young company, and there will be lots of room for growth.
Lord's is open for dinner Monday to Saturday, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
