Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the short-term care unit, fostering a positive and supportive work environment
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to promote quality patient care and nursing practices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and effective patient outcomes
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure exceptional patient care
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimizing patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance patient care
Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare partners
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and company policies
Director of Nursing Short Term Unit: Spearhead the development and implementation of short-term care unit policies, procedures, and programs
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a short-term care unit
Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred
Additional Requirements: Will be determined based on individual experience and qualifications
