What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Maintenance II position at Lorain County Metropolitan Park District?
Description
Performs a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and construction activities while maintaining and improving the park district’s resources and facilities. Leads work crews, assists with project planning, and monitors park district grounds as assigned.
RATE OF PAY: $21.84 per hour.

Requirements
Completion of secondary education (high school or GED), (two years of college in the field of natural resources, education, or related field preferred), and two years experience in the field of natural resources/parks; or related field experience in skilled or semi-skilled maintenance and repair experience, or experience in construction trades and operating heavy construction equipment or equivalent. Experience with directing others, assigning work orders, scheduling, and purchasing.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and undergo a background check. May be required to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license and obtain a valid Ohio commercial driver’s license of the appropriate class and with the appropriate endorsement(s). Lorain County Metro Park District’s policy prohibits hiring new employees who use tobacco.
