Lorain County JVS provides high-quality career-technical training for high school students and adults within Lorain County, Ohio. Established in 1971 and located in Oberlin, Ohio, the JVS campus spans 10 acres and houses a Career-Technical High School and an Adult Career Center. The institution serves over 1,000 high school students and 3,000 adult learners annually, offering over 24 career programs across fields such as Healthcare, Transportation, Culinary, and more. The Adult Career Center also provides short-term career training, customized training, and industry-specific services to meet the needs of the local business community and advance emerging technologies.
Description: Teach the appropriate course of study by using a variety of instructional techniques that meet individual learning styles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold a current and valid Ohio Class A CDL.
- Able to provide proof of operating license of a commercial motor vehicle for at least 3 years during the 10-year period, preceding the application.
- Have no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Possesses valid state department of education license/certificate appropriate for the position. (CDL instructor license)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions.
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
- Provides documented evidence of a clear criminal record.
