The Engineering, Business and Information Technologies Division at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused part-time Administrative Assistant to provide advanced administrative and operational support for the Business suite within the division. This position serves as a key liaison between students, faculty, staff, and the community while supporting departmental initiatives, projects, and daily operations.

The Engineering, Business and Information Technologies Division at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused part-time Administrative Assistant to provide advanced administrative and operational support for the Business suite within the division. This position serves as a key liaison between students, faculty, staff, and the community while supporting departmental initiatives, projects, and daily operations.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Serving as a primary point of contact for the division, responding to inquiries and supporting communication with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Screening and directing phone calls; greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service.
- Preparing correspondence, reports, contracts, marketing materials, and other documents.
- Coordinating meetings, events, and special activities, including preparation of meeting notes or minutes.
- Maintaining office files, records, and administrative systems.
- Utilizing administrative and office software to maintain college records and support projects/programs.
- Supporting special projects and assisting in the development of procedures and guidelines.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two to three years of related administrative or office experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and general office systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise judgement, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of four to seven years of related administrative experience.
- Experience in a higher education or academic office environment.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft or similar platforms.
