Duties
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and
pick systems, ensuring all items are correct and complete before packing - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely in accordance with OSHA standards
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and the use of mechanical knowledge to move items efficiently within the warehouse
- Load and unload shipments, verifying shipping & receiving documentation to maintain inventory accuracy
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, update order statuses, and ensure seamless order processing
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols and participating in regular safety inspections
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve overall efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving or related roles
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks with proper certification preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Prior experience with materials handling, heavy lifting, and construction-related tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership skills are advantageous but not required
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
