Responsible to: Athletic Director and Secondary Principal
Description of the position: This position will be coaching the High School Track Team.
Candidate must have the ability to attend both on and off island meets. Be able to plan and
schedule practices with the team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of fundamentals and rules of sport
- Strong background on fundamentals of the sport
- Ability to instruct athletes in both technical and tactical sides of the sport
- Ability to break down the game to simple step by step instructions
- Ability to assume responsibility for leadership over student program participants
- Ability to apply individual discipline, emphasizing safety precautions, and instructing
- Ability to be a positive role model and supervisor of high school students.
- Understanding and/or willing to learn all of the district regulations, WIAA, and league
- Demonstrated record of personal safety and ability to promote safety in the workplace,
- Ability to be a positive reflection of the school district, and to promote the safety, health,
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents
Job Requirements:
- Valid First Aid/CPR card required
- Valid certificate of current concussion training required
- All state required trainings required
- Fingerprinting (fee paid by the employee)

Salary:
Stipend of $3,700.00 paid in 3 payments. Final payment to be released when all equipment and
uniforms are checked in. Post season play will be paid at $270 per week.
