Job Summary:
In this role you will be on the front lines of process and product improvement, innovation and compliance. Responsible for performing laboratory tests and routine procedures in support of manufacturing, engineering, and quality. Assist engineers in ongoing projects and company-wide customer investigations. Collect, organize, and prepare specimens for research and development.

Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, prepare and test samples.
- Record, analyze and interpret data.
- Perform laboratory procedures.
- Interpret industry specifications pertaining to routine testing procedures.
- Utilize image analysis software for reporting and test documentation.
- Conduct and support scientific investigations and experiments with Engineering.
- Have an active role in Failure Analysis procedures for evaluation of field failures.
- Practice safe laboratory etiquette.
- Label, organize and maintain samples through testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Update databases, records and work logs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
You will be required to:
- Maintain security and documentation to ensure retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.
- Defend company against social engineering scams i.e. phishing attacks.
- Lock your computer station every time you leave the lab.
- Protect laboratory area from unsafe or unprofessional behavior.Present the lab to those on tours of the facility and effectively describe the job functions in the lab.
- A two-year technical associate’s degree in engineering, laboratory technology, math, or other technical area of specialization or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to communicate – verbal and written.
- Ability to perform basic math functions with accuracy.
- Moderate computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Laboratory experience (preferred).
- Dependable and prompt.
- Efficient and safe work habits.
