The SDR will be on the front line introducing industrial engineers, quality leaders, and manufacturing executives to how AI vision can solve real production problems.
Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for outbound prospecting into manufacturing accounts, focusing on industrial engineers, quality managers, plant leaders, and senior operations executives. The SDR will generate qualified meetings for Account Executives through targeted research, cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
Responsibilities
- Prospect into mid-market and enterprise manufacturers in target verticals (e.g., automotive, industrial equipment, aerospace, medical devices, electronics).
- Build and maintain accurate target lists of industrial engineers, quality managers, plant managers, directors of operations, and VPs/CXOs.
- Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn) with messaging tailored to manufacturing and quality pain points.
- Qualify prospects by understanding their production processes, inspection methods, quality challenges, and existing systems (MES, QMS, PLC/SCADA, vision systems).
- Clearly articulate Loopr AI’s value proposition and how AI vision models can impact scrap, rework, downtime, and inspection cost.
- Book discovery meetings and technical demos for Account Executives and track all activity and pipeline in the CRM.
- Collaborate with marketing on outbound sequences, campaigns, and messaging that resonate with engineers and plant leaders.
- Capture market feedback from conversations (common objections, use cases, competitors) and share insights with sales, product, and marketing.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generated.
Requirements
- 1–3 years in outbound sales / SDR / BDR role, ideally selling SaaS or industrial/automation solutions into manufacturing.
- Comfortable and confident making 40–60 cold calls per day and running structured call blocks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to speak credibly with technical and operational stakeholders (engineers, quality, operations).
- Curiosity about manufacturing processes, automation, and/or AI; able to learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Experience using a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage leads, activities, and pipeline.
- Self-starter who thrives in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Persistence, resilience, and a data-driven approach to improving outreach and conversion.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments (plants, factories, warehouses).
- Familiarity with quality management, industrial automation, or vision systems (e.g., inspection cameras, PLCs, robots).
- Prior experience with outbound tools (Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigato).

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
- Consistently hitting or exceeding targets for qualified meetings and outbound activity.
- Building a repeatable outbound motion into key manufacturing segments and personas.
- Becoming conversant in core AI vision use cases and able to uncover and frame manufacturing quality problems on cold calls.
