Summary
Our client, a national law firm, is seeking an Attorney to join its Spartanburg office. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established practice in the Upstate SC area.
This Attorney position offers hands-on litigation experience in a collaborative, high-performance legal environment. You will be involved in all phases of litigation while developing subject matter expertise, working alongside experienced attorneys with strong national platform support.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with a high degree of precision and clarity
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to labor and employment law issues
- Participate in discovery processes including depositions, written discovery, and document review
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategy and litigation approach
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to employer clients
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and responsiveness
Qualifications
- 3 years of litigation experience as an Attorney, preferably within labor and employment law or a related practice area
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar required. North Carolina Bar admission is a plus
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research skills
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management capabilities
