What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tuning and Repair Technician | Part Time position at Loon Mountain?
Overview:
As a Tuning & Demo Technician you are responsible for working directly with guests and retail hard goods staff to fit, service, and maintain snowboarding and alpine skiing equipment including, but not limited to binding, mounting, and adjustments, equipment repair, tuning, and waxing. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers as they enter the ski shop, and provide them with information on available skiing and snowboarding equipment and supplies
- Tune and repair skis and snowboards
- Perform binding calibrations, testing, and certifications
- Mounting and testing of bindings
- Complete, track, and file necessary paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop area
- Cross-trained in all Retail Shop positions
- Understanding our products and services, what guests need and how to raise the bar to provide excellent service to customers, general public and employees
- Must be able to multitask in a busy retail environment and be a team player
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays
- Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures
- Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others
- Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous retail sales experience in hard and soft goods preferred. Outdoor retail experience and boot fitting knowledge a plus.
Salary : $40,010 - $56,364
