What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biology Faculty position at Loomis Institute?
The Loomis Chaffee School announces a search for a full-time biology teacher to begin teaching in August of 2026. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of teaching experience, an advanced degree in the biological and/or chemical sciences, and the ability to teach the breadth of the typical high school biology curriculum. The ability to teach an additional scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, physics) is preferred.
Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school and in addition to teaching Biology, other responsibilities could include dormitory residence or affiliation as well as participation in the afternoon program at the school in a manner commensurate with the candidate’s skills. Housing may be available.
