Phlebotomy experience required. This is for two days per week only - Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am - 4pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures.
- Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant medical information accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections, applying dressings, and assisting with manual handling of patients. We also have an in house lab and phlebotomy is a big part of the job!
- Support emergency response efforts by maintaining current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support certifications
- Manage medical supplies, sterilization processes, and equipment to uphold safety standards in acute care settings
- Ensure proper documentation of all procedures and interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in medical environments with a focus on patient safety and quality care
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and phlebotomy.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management to ensure accurate documentation
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to healthcare safety protocols
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly recommended.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently.
