Position Summary

Looks Great Services of MS, Inc. is seeking hardworking, dependable Groundsmen to join our growing team. As a Groundsman, you will work alongside climbers, bucket operators, and equipment operators to safely clear trees and vegetation from utility rights-of-way. This is a physically demanding outdoor position with opportunities for advancement into climbing, equipment operation, and crew leadership.

Safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

· Assist tree climbers and bucket operators during tree removal and pruning operations.

· Operate chainsaws, pole saws, brush cutters, and other hand tools safely.

· Drag, stack, chip, and dispose of brush and wood debris.

· Feed brush into wood chippers while following all safety procedures.

· Maintain a clean and organized work site.

· Assist with rigging ropes, lowering devices, and equipment setup.

· Perform traffic control when required.

· Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.

· Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and ANSI Z133 standards.

· Work around energized electrical distribution lines while maintaining required minimum approach distances.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Previous tree care, landscaping, forestry, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.

· Must possess a valid driver's license.

· Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

· Must be able to speak, read, and understand fluent English.

· Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds repeatedly.

· Comfortable working on uneven terrain and in wooded environments.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Reliable transportation to and from work.

· A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and walking.

· Ability to stand and work for extended periods.

· Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and humidity.

· Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other power equipment.
