Job Description

We are looking for Ophthalmic Technicians with strong interpersonal skills that is able to communicate with patients, physicians and co-workers. Able to multitask, have good work ethics, time management and computer skills.

Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Manage patient charts and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office including cleaning of equipment, rooms, etc.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing tech calls; answer or direct as needed.
  • Work up patients/perform refractions/special testing if needed
  • Scribe for the physician when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the physician or manager as needed.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical charting systems (e.g., EMR) is preferred but not required.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this position.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for this position.

Pay is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
