Job Summary
Automotive Parts Manager / Shop Coordinator
MKC Transport Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable Automotive Parts Manager / Shop Coordinator to join our team.
We are a family-owned, established automotive company specializing in vehicle acquisition, reconditioning, wholesale and retail vehicle sales, and automotive repair.
This is not simply a parts-counter position. This is a key role in our day-to-day operation and works closely with our technicians, parts vendors, customers, and office staff to keep vehicles and repairs moving efficiently.
We are looking for someone with strong automotive knowledge who is organized, dependable, comfortable making decisions, and able to take ownership of their responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Research and order automotive parts
- Compare parts, pricing, quality, and availability from multiple vendors
- Verify correct parts and applications before ordering
- Receive and check incoming parts for accuracy
- Work closely with technicians regarding parts and repair needs
- Communicate with parts vendors and suppliers
- Help coordinate daily shop workflow and vehicle repairs
- Answer phones and assist repair customers
- Communicate with customers regarding repair needs and vehicle status
- Assist with repair orders and general shop organization
- Open and close the facility
- Help with general day-to-day shop operations
- Pitch in wherever needed as part of a small, team-oriented business
Parts returns and credit tracking are handled with assistance from our office staff.
Qualifications
Automotive industry experience is required.
We are interested in candidates with experience in automotive parts, dealership service, independent repair, collision/body shops, automotive recycling, service advising, service coordination, estimating, or a similar automotive environment.
Direct experience researching, sourcing, and ordering automotive parts is strongly preferred.

Schedule
Full-Time
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–6:00 PM
NO WEEKENDS
Compensation
$60,000–$75,000 per year, depending on automotive experience, parts knowledge, and qualifications
