Minimum Qualifications
Direct Care Staff
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma/GED with at least two years of experience working with children with behavioral or emotional needs in a residential, social-service, educational, institutional, paraprofessional, volunteer, or internship setting; OR have at least 30 college semester hours and one year of relevant experience working with children.
Applicants must have effective written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, emotional self-control, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to appropriately manage conflict and behavioral situations. Candidates must be physically and emotionally capable of performing direct-care responsibilities and working with a diverse population.
A valid driver's license is required. Applicants must successfully complete required criminal background checks, drug screening, and other applicable employment/licensing clearances. Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply but bilingual ability is not required.
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
