Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and specialized equipment
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and system repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) units
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair equipment
- Diagnose issues with HVAC system components like compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and control systems
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all installations and repairs performed
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong mechanical aptitude for installing complex HVAC systems
- Service technician experience in troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment and performing repairs efficiently
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles for accurate system installation
- Familiarity with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems including refrigerant lines and drainage setups
- Electrical diagnostics skills for identifying faults within electrical systems of HVAC units
- Ability to repair refrigeration components such as compressors and condensers; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, pumps, and other mechanical components
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting and repair across a variety of mechanical systems
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during service calls or installations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
drivers preferred - Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or appliance repair are advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments; willingness to perform property maintenance tasks when needed

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
