Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Auxiliary Services Assistant / Administrative and Office Specialist II (T0467) in the Office of Cashiering and Student Accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily operations for Lancer Card and Parking Services; accurate and timely billing and invoicing; and participating in outreach events to communicate information with parents, faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.
This position is located in Farmville, Virginia, and is required to work in person on Longwood University's campus.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, contractors, and campus visitors in person, by phone, and via email
- Respond to routine inquiries and requests related to Lancer Card and Parking Services operations
- Assist with printing ID cards and troubleshooting basic ID card issues, escalating complex issues as needed
- Assist with the daily processing of departmental web deposits and related data entry tasks
- Maintain accurate records related to deposits and ID card activity
- Assist with reconciliation support for Bank 9 budgets and bank statements under the supervision of full-time staff
- Support off-campus program operations, including basic customer service, vendor coordination support, and issue resolution escalation
- Assist with processing off-campus commission reports on a weekly basis
- Monitor daily bonus dollar pack activity and communicate with students regarding outstanding balances as directed
- Prepare documentation and present meal plan and parking citation appeals to appropriate committees under the guidance of full-time staff
- Assist with issuing student, faculty, staff, visitor, and campus partner parking permits through established systems and procedures
- Research and identify vehicle ownership for unmatched parking citations and assist with citation billing processes
- Support weekly and monthly parking billing processes through data entry and documentation preparation
- Provide assistance and support to student workers as directed by full-time staff
- Assist with Lancer Card and Parking Services presentations during New Employee Orientation, New Student Orientation, and Move-In events
- Assist with website updates and basic content maintenance as assigned
- Assist with annual departmental inventory verification and recordkeeping
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Must possess demonstrated customer service skills
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform detailed work
- Ability to maintain accurate records and perform checks to ensure accuracy of work
- Knowledge of cash handling practices, account reconciliation, and report preparation
- Experience with MS Office products
- Proven track record of professional conduct
- Experience with ID cards and parking systems preferred
- Experience with marketing, sales, and working with vendors preferred
- Experience working in higher education preferred
Additional Information:
This is a part-time, non-exempt, temporary wage position in pay band 2. Hours worked will vary based on need, but will be limited to an average of 29 hours per week and 1,500 hours maximum per work year. Commonwealth of Virginia benefits do not accompany this position.
