SUMMARY: Greeting patients in a professional manner, making appt, taking vital signs, help assist co-workers as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be a licensed MA
- Greets and prepares patients for appointments/measures vital signs, and records information in PEMR.
- Keeps management informed of any supplies needed, both medical & clerical.
- Receives and screens telephone calls, schedules appointments, and checks the mail.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA, maintains professionalism at all times while representing the company.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
- Review the schedule in advance to ensure any eligibility & auth needs have been met and to print consent to treat forms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of formal training program as a medical assistant in clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Strong charting/documentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities, workflow, & multi-tasking.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Prior experience as Medical Assistant 1 year minimum.
- Bilingual skills required, must speak both English and Spanish.
- Dependability is a huge deal breaker.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
