Longwood Gardens is seeking a part-time Retail Stock Associate to support the day-to-day operations of the stock room. Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to all Longwood safety policies and procedures
- Unpacking and processing all merchandise received from vendors
- Completing all processing and receiving activities in accordance with productivity standards timelines
- Participating in stockroom maintenance, organization, and housekeeping
- Assisting in replenishment of stock onto the sales floor
- Assisting in the movement of fixtures and merchandise for new product and seasonal change
- Assisting in bi-annual physical inventory process
This is a permanent, year-round position (not seasonal). The work schedule varies (up to 28 hours/week) and includes weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Able to work independently with supervisory direction
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time while processing shipments
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with unloading delivery trucks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations and team mentality
