Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing front desk responsibilities
- Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems (Nextech)
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical collections accurately and efficiently
- Manage medical records and ensure proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information and scheduling assistance
- Maintain office organization by filing documents, managing electronic health records (EHR), and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and typing
- Support clinical staff with care plan documentation, health information management, and other administrative duties as needed
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities
- Ability to perform 10 key typing swiftly while maintaining accuracy
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred to understand healthcare workflows
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment while maintaining attention to detail
