Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Dental Assistant with 5 years of dental assisting experience to join our team. This role requires a strong clinical background, a calm and compassionate presence, and the ability to work closely with the doctor during complex procedures.
Sedation experience and implant experience are required. The ideal candidate must be comfortable assisting with implant cases, surgical workflows, and sedation-related procedures while maintaining a high level of patient care, organization, and professionalism.
This position also requires flexibility and a team-first mindset. In addition to surgical assisting, this role includes supporting daily office operations, patient communication, lab case coordination, sterilization, operatory turnaround, and front desk duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor chairside during surgical, implant, and restorative procedures
- Assist with sedation cases and help ensure patients are properly prepared, monitored, and supported throughout treatment according to office protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, implant components, and materials for surgical cases
- Support patient care before, during, and after treatment with compassion and professionalism
- Turn over operatories efficiently and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Perform instrument cleaning, sterilization, and autoclave processing according to office protocols
- Keep track of lab cases and ensure cases are received, organized, and ready on time
- Take radiographs and assist with digital imaging as needed
- Review medical histories and help maintain accurate clinical records
- Provide post-op instructions and help patients feel comfortable throughout treatment
- Call patients as needed regarding appointments, follow-up, scheduling, or treatment coordination
- Assist with front desk responsibilities as needed to support patient flow and team operations
- Help open and close the office each day
- Maintain supplies, stock operatories, and support smooth daily operations
- Work closely with both clinical and administrative team members to create an excellent patient experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of dental assisting experience required
- Sedation experience is required
- Implant experience is required
- Strong surgical assisting experience required
- Excellent chairside assisting skills and attention to detail

Schedule

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
