About the role
As our newest video hire, you will join our in-house video team and work closely with our political communications strategists and social media team. You should bring strong editorial instincts and the ability to turn complex political moments into clear, compelling, social-first video.
Your responsibilities
- Edit full-length podcast episodes for YouTube, including multi-cam setups, graphics, and audio cleanup.
- Transform scripts and messaging guidance from our communications teams into visually compelling content that aligns with project goals.

What we're looking for
- 3 years of professional video editing or production experience.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Ability to source news footage, clean and mix dialogue, and color-correct for web and social.
- Genuine interest in politics and current events. You follow the news closely and understand the context behind what you're editing.
- Strong familiarity with vertical video formats, platform trends, and what is actually breaking through in today's media environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to be in our downtown DC office five days a week. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Preferred qualifications
- Physical production experience, including filming, lighting, and camera operation.
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up and sharpen production workflows.
- Background in political campaigns, advocacy, journalism, or media.
Why join us
