Job Summary:
The Associate Financial Advisor plays a key role within a collaborative team focused on delivering personalized and high-quality financial planning for the clients of Longview. Working closely with the Senior Financial Advisor and Client Service Associate, the Associate Financial Advisor manages a blend of technical and client-facing responsibilities. In client meetings, this role supports the Senior Advisor by taking thorough notes, tracking follow-up action items, and ensuring all client details are captured well documented. Beyond meetings, the Associate Financial Advisor builds and maintains strong client relationships through timely follow-ups and communication that reflects a genuine understanding of each client's goals and anticipated needs.
On the planning and analytical side, the Associate Advisor gathers, organizes, and maintains detailed client data to support the development of financial plans, tax analyses, estate planning outlines, and other client materials. In collaboration with the Senior Advisor, this role contributes to the analysis of client information and the development of thoughtful, personalized recommendations tailored to each client's scope of engagement. All key planning assumptions, meeting notes, and follow-up actions are recorded in the firm's CRM system to ensure continuity and accountability across the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
- CFP® designation, or completion of a CFP® Board-registered education program with the intention to sit for the exam within 12- to 18-months.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop thoughtful recommendations
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, including clear and professional written correspondence, confident verbal interactions, and active, empathetic listening
- Technologically proficient, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with eMoney, Holistiplan, and Salesforce preferred.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the firm and contribute to a supportive, high-performance culture
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative, follow-through, and personal accountability
