Title: Assistant Branch Manager
Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the overall management of branch operations, team performance, and customer experience. This role assists in driving revenue growth, deepening customer relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. The Assistant Branch Manager also provides leadership to branch staff and serves in the Branch Manager’s absence.
Primary Duties:
- Deliver and promote exceptional customer service by handling inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting relationship-building efforts
- Open and service consumer and business accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer needs
- Support branch performance by identifying opportunities to grow relationships, cross-sell products, and contribute to promotional initiatives
- Assist in supervising daily branch operations, including teller functions, account services, ATM and night depository processing, and workflow coordination
- Provide leadership and support to branch staff through training, coaching, scheduling, and performance oversight
- Serve as acting Branch Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making
- Maintain operational controls, including dual control of the vault, cash oversight, transaction approvals, overdraft review, and adherence to internal procedures
- Oversee safe deposit box operations and support document processing, scanning, and record maintenance
- Monitor branch activity, staffing levels, and workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of tasks
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, and report suspicious activity
- Perform teller and customer service duties as needed and complete required training
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of banking experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred
- Strong knowledge of branch operations, banking products, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
