Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Assist with daily living activities such as mobility support and medication reminders.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Support clients with special needs, including those with autism, by implementing personalized care plans.
- Respect and uphold resident rights while fostering a trusting relationship with clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of resident rights and commitment to ethical care practices.
- Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
- Proficient in meal preparation that caters to individual dietary restrictions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to assist individuals compassionately.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
