Longleaf Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our growing team. This role is the first point of contact for our clients and patients, helping ensure every visit is welcoming, efficient, and compassionate.
We are a fast-paced small animal hospital focused on high quality medicine, excellent client communication, and a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments
- Check patients in and out for appointments and procedures
- Communicate with veterinary technicians and doctors regarding patient needs
- Provide accurate estimates and process invoices and payments
- Maintain patient records within our veterinary software system
- Assist with prescription refills and medication pick-ups
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and professional
- Provide clear communication and support to pet owners during visits
Qualifications
- Prior veterinary or medical reception experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling difficult conversations with professionalism
- Basic computer skills required
- Experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
