Position Summary
LONGi is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and bilingual Paralegal to support the North America Legal team. This role provides legal and administrative support across a broad range of corporate legal matters, including contract administration, litigation support, corporate governance, compliance, and legal operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international business environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing proofreading and managing commercial agreements, NDAs, amendments, procurement contracts, service agreements, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Administer the company's contract lifecycle management process, including contract intake, routing, execution, filing, renewal tracking, and maintenance of contract databases.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, business teams, and external legal counsel regarding contract status, legal documentation, and ongoing legal matters.
- Review legal invoices, process outside counsel billing, monitor legal budgets, and maintain accurate legal spending records and department budgets.
- Conduct legal and factual research on corporate, commercial, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters under attorney’s supervision.
- Prepare legal summaries, presentations, reports, and other materials for management and business stakeholders.
- Assist with corporate governance activities, including maintaining corporate records, entity documents, resolutions, and regulatory filings.
- Support litigation and dispute management by coordinating document preservation, discovery responses, legal holds, subpoena responses, and case files.
- Assist with compliance initiatives, policy updates and implementation, training materials, FCPA support, export control documentation and internal legal communications.
- Translate legal, commercial, and corporate documents between Mandarin Chinese and English, and provide interpretation support during meetings when needed.
- Maintain legal document repositories and ensure proper document retention practices.
- Support special legal projects and other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent legal experience may be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal, legal assistant, or similar legal support role.
- Profession proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Working experience supporting an in-house legal department within a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and legal document management.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
