CT/XRAY Technologist
We are looking for a CT / X-Ray Technologist to join our Longhorn Imaging Team in our Cedar Park and Leander location! The ideal candidate will have a heart for serving others with a strong inclination for outstanding customer service.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide computed tomography imaging and diagnostic imaging following applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
WORK SCHEDULE
XRay Monday and Friday 8am-4pm at our Leander Location
CT/XRay Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am-4pm at our Cedar Park Location
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
- Within the scope of the job, it requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Minimum Experience: One year experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR
- Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

SALARY:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
