We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Industrial Supply Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations for industrial materials and equipment. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on category management and strategic sourcing.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to optimize purchasing activities.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining compliance with procurement regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Oversee vendor contract management, supplier performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and project teams to align procurement activities with production planning and materials management.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply disruptions or quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies and mitigate potential impacts.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in supply chain management.
- Extensive vendor contract management experience, including direct negotiation of procurement contracts and familiarity with public sector purchasing processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms; proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, category management projects, and procurement negotiations effectively.
- Strong understanding of procurement regulatory frameworks including FAR regulations; experience in federal or government contracting is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement across diverse teams.
