Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, grills, slicers, and knives, maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation at all times.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, adhering to safety standards in production, and managing food safety protocols diligently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces regularly to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or a bar/grill preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including slicing, chopping, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, slicers, and other culinary tools.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and wait staff.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
- A passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality food handling and presentation.
