About The Role
The Senior Finance Associate will play a key role in driving the company’s financial planning, forecasting, performance tracking, and analysis efforts. This position involves both short- and long-term financial forecasting, budget creation, performance measurement, and regular updates of financial forecasts. The Associate will work closely with market leaders and business development teams to evaluate and forecast health plan performance, assessing the efficiency of programs across various markets.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Finance Associate, you will be responsible for a diverse range of financial and strategic initiatives, including analyzing cost structures, evaluating build-versus-buy opportunities, and conducting comprehensive investment and ROI analysis. You will collaborate directly with senior executives, including the VP, Corporate Finance, Senior Accounting Manager, and the Chief Financial Officer, as well as market leaders and department heads across the organization.
Key duties will include enhancing the company’s forecasting models, supporting the creation of detailed financial reports, and completing financial pro-formas to support business development activities. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the Data Warehouse, ensuring seamless integration of financial, transactional, demographic, and clinical data components.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and analyze regular and ad-hoc financial reports, providing actionable recommendations on operational performance, KPIs, and risks/opportunities.
- Drive profitability by enhancing visibility, forecasting accuracy, and consolidation of financial results and key metrics, while advising senior leadership on insights and strategic actions.
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive monthly reporting packages, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and insightful financial data, supported by deep analytics.
- Analyze monthly and quarterly actuals against plans, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying key business performance drivers and addressing variances with clear recommendations.
- Assist in the development and refinement of budgeting and forecasting processes for all lines of business.
- Continuously update and refine financial projections, providing detailed variance analysis and strategic insights.
- Partner with Market Leaders on high-impact strategic initiatives, supporting their development and execution.
- Lead the creation and presentation of financial reporting packages for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
- Prepare executive-level presentations that distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Ensure timely and efficient completion of projects and initiatives led by the CFO.
- Spearhead cross-functional strategic initiatives and lead special projects, ensuring timely execution of action items.
- Leverage data-driven insights to improve departmental reporting capabilities and drive better business decisions.
- Review and optimize current systems, processes, and data structures to identify opportunities for improvement and lead change initiatives.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects as needed, including collaboration with the Medical Economics team to research and analyze claims utilization trends.
- Work alongside the project management office to develop dashboards and advanced analytics tools.
- Complete financial pro-formas to assist business development efforts, ensuring alignment with financial goals and providing insights on potential partnerships, acquisitions, and growth opportunities.
