Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently for tasks such as framing, concrete pouring, or demolition.
- Perform concrete finishing, including pouring, smoothing, and sealing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications.
- Install rebar, metal studs, and framing components following schematics and blueprints for structural integrity.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying to enhance building aesthetics and durability.
- Conduct renovation tasks including plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and restoration work to refurbish existing structures.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to assist in construction estimating, planning, and executing projects effectively.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for precise carpentry, roofing, flooring installation, and other specialized tasks.
- Operate heavy machinery like concrete pumps or forklifts when required for large-scale projects or material transport.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in various trades such as masonry, carpentry, roofing, or concrete finishing is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints or schematics is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation and commercial driving enhances your versatility on-site.
- Skills in welding, metal stud framing, or tile installation are advantageous but not mandatory; training opportunities are available for motivated candidates.
