What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Delivery/Warehouse position at Longeneckers Hardware?
Work on a two-man team delivering and installing household appliances in new and existing homes whenever another delivery person is on vacation, absent, or whenever volume requires additional delivery capacity. Otherwise working in warehouse loading, unloading and preparing appliances for delivery. Must be able to perform heavy lifting. Must be able to push, pull, and team lift up to 300lbs. Must have a clean driving record.
These responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
-Driving safely and responsibly to each delivery.
-Performing the mechanical hook-up of the appliances.
-Demonstrating the appliance to the customer and answering any questions they may have.
-Unload inbound deliveries of appliances from our suppliers.
-Keep the appliance warehouse organized in a neat and orderly fashion.
-Dispose of all of the appliance packing material in the dumpster per the waste company’s pickup schedule.
-Bring new appliances to the store sales floor as needed.
-Separate appliance cardboard for recycling and bring back to the store for baling.
Pay scale dependent upon experience and skill level.
